Christmas Spirit

We got into the Christmas spirit today by going and cutting down our tree. As usual, we found the best tree in the forest. We were a little challenged getting it home as it was extremely windy. It took two to hold it on the car roof while it was being tied down.

Hockey hockey hockey

Had a hockey marathon weekend last weekend.  Five games over one weekend - Yikes!  Luckily all the games were in the same town, but it wasn't Canmore!  Rosie's team played in a tournament and despite coming in last, the team played hard.  It's quite a bit rougher in the older age group.  Isie played a game too, which they also lost, but Isie scored his first ever goal!  He was very happy!  Here are some pictures of Rosie in action.

After School Skate

Summoned up the energy to go for a quick pond skate after work/school today near Exshaw. The conditions were amazing!

Nice Weekend!

Here are some pictures of our weekend. Rosie's hockey team won their game yesterday (which is quite the miracle) & so I've shown the score board!! Then we wore off my hangover (friend's 50th) by walking in the chilly sunshine out by the river.

Hockey

That's our life these days!!! Isie had his first ever game last weekend and LOVED it, even though they lost 16-2. Rosie has her first two games coming up this weekend. Here's a pic of Rosie ready to practice.

Band Camp

Rosie & I went to Band Camp last week for 2 nights and with 75 kids from her school. They worked hard, played hard and deprived themselves of much sleep. We got home at 4pm on the Friday and Rosie was passed out in bed by 5pm. I made it to 7:30pm.

Volley dome Tournament

Just spent a long day in Calgary with the girls volleyball teams. Rosie's team managed to get third place!

Emerald Lake Lodge

Adrian & I just had a weekend away to ourselves at Emerald Lake Lodge! Very nice!

Another member of the hockey family!

The blog is back! Kids are back at school and their activities are ramping up. Isie has joined the girls in this family by trying hockey this fall. Last night was his first night for 'conditioning camp' to get him in shape for when his team starts playing in October.

Rosie is doing all personal bests at Summer Games, some amazing times. She is also apparently finding time to party with her new friends

Summer Games

Put Rosie on the bus this morning for the Alberta Summer Games! She'll be away until Sunday night and races in about 7 events. Good luck Rosie!
