Went to Calgary Saturday to look at new car and started getting Rosie her own set of goalie gear for the next season. Here she is sporting her new pads ($200 second hand!!!!!)

Quiet Times

Enjoying some relative peace and quiet here at the moment.  This last week of April is the lull before the storm.  Next Tuesday sees the start of the swim season and the soccer season.  The kids will swim up to 6 times a week if they want, then soccer for Isie will be twice a week on a Tuesday and a Thursday.  Swim meets won't start until June so we will still have our weekends to enjoy for a little while.

Cascade Engineering is finally busy, after months and months of being far too quiet.  This weekend, the company has a table at an architects conference at the Banff Springs Hotel, the first time they've done such a thing.  I'll see if I can get a picture of them looking all posh, a very rare sight around here!

Crèpes

Taught kids how to make english pancakes last night. It was such a big hit that Isie had to use the very last drop of batter

April Fools

The kids trusted us implicitly (of course) when we said we were going hiking on April 1st.  Look where we ended up!  Las Vegas was a 2 hr drive from where were staying and the kids had been begging us to take them there.  Well, the saw the good, the bad and the downright ugly and thankfully are in no hurry to go back.

Rosie's 13th Birthday

My first attempt at a blog posting!  Rosie celebrated her 13th birthday in Utah during spring break by going mountain biking with Adrian in the morning, trail riding with Mum and friend in the afternoon, eating cake and being thrown in the swimming pool.
